Happy New Year....

We have had a good days games in the Premier league with things suggesting that we could see the top four blown wide open:

Man Utd lose, Chelsea lose, Spurs draw, Arsenal win, Liverpool win and Man City we shall see.

I think in light of todays games we can look forward to an amazing 2012 of football.

Bye bye 2011 and hello 2012...

Wherever you are have a great run in to the new year.

Take Care.

Whats Your Top Four?!

This season is shaping up to be one of the most open and exciting since the Premiership started.

My personal view is that while Man City and Man Utd are sitting pretty at the top of the league it's not as clear cut as at the start of the season.

Fact is Man City has a team full of class but they have never been in a Premiership title run-in SO will that work against them?

Man Utd are still going strong and 99% of the time are much stronger in the second half of the season then the first but injuries are still a factor and 1 or 2 more could derail their challenge.... With these potential factors does that bring Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool back in with a shout?

My top four prediction is:

1- Manchester City
2- Arsenal
3- Manchester Utd
4- Tottenham Hotspur

Now I know this won't be everyone's idea of the top four infact probably no ones but watch this space.

Let me know your top fours....

January Transfer Rumours & Notable Done Deals

So with January looming potential transfer targets are being banded around all over the place:

The deals that just need signing:

• Thierry Henry,New York - Arsenal (2 month loan)
• Gary Cahill, Bolton - Chelsea
• Emmanuel Frimpong, Arsenal - Wolves (end of season loan)
• Landon Donovan, L.A - Everton (2 moth loan)

Rumours:

• Wayne Bridge, Man City - AC Milan
• Carlos Tevez, Man City - Arsenal
• Carlton Cole, West Ham - Fulham
• Bobby Zamora, Fulham - Sunderland
•James Tomkins, West Ham-Newcastle
• Emmanuel Frimpong, Arsenal - A. Villa (on loan)
• Nikica Jelavic, Rangers - WBA
• Gareth Bale, Spurs - Barcelona
• Hulk, Porto - Chelsea
• Maxi Lopez, Catania - Fulham
• Christopher Samba, Blackburn - QPR
• Perreira, Porto - Chelsea
• Robbie Keane, L.A - Aston Villa (2 month loan)

These are some of the stories flying around... Whats your thoughts on these? Have you heard any other rumours worth mentioning?

January Comes Early....

News that Bolton have confirmed a price with Chelsea for Gary Cahill and Thierry Henry will be going back to the Emirates for a 2 month loan all sorted before Jan 1st makes for interesting reading.

Obviously paperwork still has to be done but the deals are as good as in the bag.

Is this a suggestion that January will be a busy time or another frustrating winter sale for fans?

The news that Chelsea might be willing to break the British transfer record 2 Januarys in a row is a strange revelation to me.... I mean surely there's such thing as learning from your mistakes? And what would this mean if indeed Chelsea did purchase the Hulk from Porto? Torres out? Drogba out? Sturridge benched? Or will they all live happily ever after knocking in 20 a piece?

My question is... Will this be an inspired move by AVB or and incredible mistake?

Henry Homecoming?

If you believe the newspapers and all the hype surrounding the story then we will be seeing Thierry Henry back at the Emirates for a couple of months.

While this will undoubtably give a massive lift to the fans and the players alike will it make an actual impact on Arsenals results? How much would Thierry play? can he still play at the high level the premier league requires?

My thoughts are yes why not? He seems very up for it and very capable so bring it on but again my view is probably biased...

How Vital Is Ba To Newcastle....!?

We all know Demba Ba has been an important player for Newcastle Utd so far this season with 14 league goals but my thoughts are how much will the magpies miss him when he leaves to play for Senegal in the African Cup Of Nations?

I think more to the point is how will they deal with this issue?

Pardew apparently reported that after the medical fell through on the potential signing of Maiga he will not persue another striker which means really it's down to Ameobi and Best... but is that good enough?!

It will be a real shame if Newcastle totally collapsed after the start they had but where do they go without Ba? Looks like the only way is further down the league...

What do you think on this?

Sorry For The Absence..... Im Back.

My absence from writing blogs has not been because my interest has faltered I have had a perfectly good reason... I promise.

Since my last blog way back in mid November a lot has been happening and the premiership isn't as clear cut as it first appeared which looks like it's going to make things very interesting indeed.

A lot of people will consider the league to still be a 2 horse race but I have to say after the results of the last few weeks could you real cancel out Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs or Liverpool? This has to be the most open league since the premier league formed back in the early nineties and I have to say..... YES at last the predictability has gone and as they say in darts..... GAME ON.....
